The Ferrari 400i is a curious car and possibly the most affordable classic Ferrari there is. This rare car is being auctioned on October 13 th. The cheapest models are the early TS cars with 296 hp, while the more expensive Spider, GTB, and GTS cars have 316 hp and these were fast, even for the late 1980s or early 1990s. But in the late 70s Ferrari decided to dabble in the grand tourer market and the result was 4 seats, a front mounted V12 and looks that are more handsome than pretty. When you think of Ferrari you think two seats, mid-mounted engine, low to the ground and pretty. In the seven decades since Enzo Ferrari founded his company, they have produced some jaw-droppingly spectacular cars, but there’s something special about the sleek lines and the raw, analogue power of 1970s Ferrari models, a decade packed with outstanding motors.
